Abi Answers YOUR Questions

1. In about 1988, or sometime around then, Abi was the lead singer of a high school rock band called "Jatz and the Crackers". The rest of the band (all boys) were from her sister's high school (JR) down the road, and one day thay played one song during the assemby of the boy's school. My question is: did Abi ever realise that the headmaster, who was behind her on the stage, looked really annoyed ?

No- but I think we came on straight after an A grade piano student to play a rendition of 'Sweet Child o'Mine'.
It was really loud and I was paying a lot of attention to my mums face in the crowd.
Good to see that the headmaster was so impressed.

2. Do you still keep in contact with any of the cast members from Heartbreak high? If so what are they up to?

I still see some of the cast and it's always a treat to catch up with people from the show.I see some more than others.
We always have a good rave about Heartbreak High.

3. What have you enjoyed doing most in your career? If you could do it all again would you? especially heartbreak high?

It's great making music.I've been really lucky to have some wicked acting roles and I can't wait to release the CD.
I'm glad that I don't really have regrets.I can't wait to perform live again and I guess in a sense,I feel like things are always starting over.

4. Why did you leave Heartbreak High?

I left Heartbreak High when I felt it was time for me to go.
I moved to London for a while and made a lot of music then.

5. Is Alex Dimitriades as gorgeous in real life as he is on screen?

Yep, I agree that Alex is very good looking.

6. Will you be coming to the UK to sing? and, When will you be hitting the number one spot in the UK? Soon I hope.

I'd love to come and do some gigs in the UK again.I have a live gig here in Sydney in November with the full band.It will be pretty low key to start with, but I definately want to get out and play next year.

7. Would you ever do a Heartbreak high reunion?

A party with a top bunch o' people.

8. After HBH, you did The Wogboy, Angst and now tslou. How was/is it to play those kind of roles/types after HBH?

I have loved playing some of the characters that I've had to play.
I like things with substance and a great script.It's a treat to feel like yer challenged.

9. Where are your songs from HBH available, which are not on the Maxi single and the HBH Soundtrack?

It'd be mad to listen to some of the tunes from Heartbreak again.
I am chuffed that I was given the chance to do some music for the show.
I guess with 'The Secret Life of Us' it almost came full circle.

10. Are you ticklish? And if so, where?

Sometimes!

11. I have always wondered how it is to walk around the street when you are famous ?? Do you get recognised all the time ??

I don't mind if someone wants to say something friendly.

12. If you were to write a book about your life experiences, what five (5) things would you include??

My 5 things would be: 3 verses, one chorus and a section of maybe 8 bars in the middle.

13. As an actor/musician you would meet many interesting people. If you were given a chance to work with one actor/actress and one musician, who would it be and why??

I would love to work with Ewan Macgregor.I think he's a dude.

14. If you were to be a special guest for any band or singer that tours the world, who would it and in which location would it be??

I'd like to do a tour as the support band for Madonna.

15. I hope to see Abi singing and I would like to know why did she leave London ? Why did she leave the music ?

I did leave London, but I definately didn't leave the music.
